What is bio?

Is bio free to use?

Yes. You can create your bio, start adding milestones, and build your personalized family tree for free. Upgrade to a monthly or annual plan to unlock unlimited milestones, add bio profiles for loved ones, and get additional storage.

Who can see my bio profile?

You choose one of three privacy levels for your bio profile. Private means only you can view it. Family Only means only you and the members of your family tree can access it. Public means anyone with the link can view your profile, but it is not published to search engines.

Will my bio profile show up in Google?

No. Setting your bio profile to Public does not make it searchable on Google or other search engines. Public simply means anyone with the link can view it. Only bio's public marketing pages are submitted to search engines.

If I invite a relative, do our family trees merge?

No. Every person has their own family tree centered on themselves. Accepting an invitation connects your bio profile to your place in your relative's family tree while keeping your own tree separate. Neither person gives up ownership of their tree or the ability to manage it.

Can my family tree include blended families?

Yes. Families come in all shapes. If you already have a mom and dad in your tree and add another parent, like a stepparent, bio creates a separate view for that family within your tree, so each family stays clear and complete. To switch between them, tap the icon on your name and choose which family you want to view. That way, every part of your family has a place in your tree.

What are Add-on Profiles?

Add-on Profiles let you create and manage a bio for someone you care about. You can preserve their milestones, photos, videos, memories, and stories, all connected to their place in your family tree. Add-on Profiles are available with a monthly or annual plan, for an additional $1.99 per month or $19.99 per year for each profile.

How much can I upload?

The free plan includes storage to help you get started. Monthly and annual plans include significantly more storage for preserving photos, videos, and your life's milestones.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period. After that, your bio profile and family tree are not deleted, they simply become read only unless you subscribe again.
